Cataract Surgery
Cataract Surgery, Standard and Premium Lenses
It’s an aging lens changes that’s happen nearly to all people, that cause foggy vision, glare and sometimes double vision , we treat by key hole surgery, under topical anaesthetic as a a day case surgery, and put a plastic lens to improve your sight, it’s one of the successful surgeries on the nhs and people are very happy with their outcomes, there is a different type of lenses to give different options to our patients, and to see different distances near, intermediate and far.
The nhs offers mainly monofocal lens which treat mainly one distance and the other distances need to be treated by spectacles.
There are premium lenses treat the different type of distances, which I offer in my practice, that are not offered on the NHS, to people who are looking more for spectacle independence.

As I’m a licensed refractive surgeon and specialised in refractive surgery, and have done thousands and thousands of these cataract surgeries , I treat my patients who some times need more tuning of their post operative cataract surgery residual refractive error by laser cornea surgery, avoiding in most cases to treat these kind of residual refractive errors, that sometimes occur after cataract surgery by not going inside the eye again and has relatively less complications.
